Carden Aircraft offers several quality tailwheel options: J&J Tailwheels The J & J tailwheel is machined from a solid piece of Aircraft grade 6061-T6 aluminum billet. Utilizing the latest 5-axis CNC machining technology we are able to produce a modular tailwheel to exacting specifications. This tailwheel is bullet proof, there is very little to fail, and it requires little to no maintenance. Both tailwheels use .250 inch Grade 5 6AL-4V titanium wire in a “haigh style” arrangement. We believe this is the lightest and strongest solution for your 35%-42% airplane, some carbon leaf setups can experience delamination over time or during less than perfect landings. Available in direct drive or spring style steering.
White Rose Engineering Tailwheels White Rose Engineering tailwheels are offered in both carbon fiber leaf spring style (2.8 oz), titanium Haigh style (2.9 oz); are high-tech, light weight, and extremely durable. Ohio Superstar Tailwheels Ohio Superstar tailwheels are offered in both Haigh style and Leaf Spring style. The Haigh style is a scale looking tailwheel similar to those seen on full scale Extra and Cap aircraft. Both include mounting hardware and wheel. Note: Prices indicated do not include shipping. |
